AN ITERATIVE METHOD FOR SOLVING INTERMEDIATE ENERGY SCATTERING PROBLEMS

摘要
A simple method for solving potential scattering problems has been developed. This method requires an accurate determination of the 1 = 0 wave function. This wave function is then combined with a trial wave function representing the higher partial waves. The parameters in the trial wave function are determined by requiring that the iterated scattering amplitude agree with the uniterated amplitude at certain suitable values of the scattering angle θ.
