摘要：

A facility for the study of gamma rays resulting from non-elastic neutron interactions for energies from the keV region up to about 16 MeV is described. An electron linac is used to produce a beam of pulsed neutrons. The gamma-ray energies and intensities are measured using a Ge(Li) detector and the corresponding neutron energy is determined by the time-of-flight technique. A computerized data acquisition system for processing the two-parameter data is described. The principal features and operating characteristics of the facility are discussed and gamma-ray spectra resulting from the neutron bombardment of nitrogen and oxygen are shown. © 1969.
