摘要
The electrochemical oxidation of 2,5-dimethylaniline in anhydrous NH4F.2.35 HF medium was performed as a function of the potential; this gave a polymer which displays the characteristics of a polyaniline. The electrochemical behaviour of films of the polymer was studied at different rates of potential scanning and in different acids and at several pHs. The electrochemical behaviour indicates that the poly(2,5-dimethylaniline) is very stable. Chemical synthesis was done to study the acid-base properties, NMR and the doping level of the polymer. Electrochemical synthesis was performed to study the in situ EPR signals, FTIR of the polymer, its redox and conducting properties. The influence of the methyl groups in the 2 and 5 positions is discussed.
