摘要
We illustrate the role of the spin degree of freedom in the coupling of a rotor and single particle by means of easy to understand examples. By exact diagonalization of a simple hamiltonian in group-theoretically defined bases, we highlight the role of various interactions in promoting or destroying strong coupling. We also discuss rotation alignment and how it nicely fits into the group theory of the model.
