THE DEPENDENCE OF DELTA AND TC ON HOPPING AND THE TEMPERATURE-VARIATION OF DELTA IN A LAYERED MODEL OF HTSC

The dependence of T(c) and DELTA on the interlayer hopping energy t and the function DELTA(T) are calculated for the model proposed previously in ref. [1] consisting of alternating superconducting and normal layers with considerably different effective masses, with hopping between adjacent layers. No limitations on the value of t are imposed apart from t << omega(D). The ratio 2-DELTA(min)/T(c) can differ from the BCS value 3.52 in either direction. For sufficiently large values of t, the temperature dependence of DELTA-deviates markedly from the BCS curve.
