NONLINEAR DYNAMICS NEAR THE ZERO-DISPERSION POINT IN OPTICAL FIBERS

摘要
We analyze the nonlinear dynamics in the normal-dispersion regime near the zero-dispersion point of a single-mode optical fiber using a connection between the nonlinear Schrodinger and Korteweg-de Vries equations. We predict a new type of optical soliton in this region and demonstrate a possibility of transformation of one type of soliton to another.
