摘要
A semi-topological method is presented for estimating the degree of aromaticity in graphite intercalation compounds (GICs). Aromaticity in a graphite sheet has been found to decrease as it accumulates positive or negative charge. Charged graphite sheets in C(6)LI are predicted to be essentially non-aromatic. However, most GICs are charged to a lesser extent, so that they must be more or less aromatic in nature. There are no antiaromatic GICs.
