摘要：

Reported is a critical investigation of the response of a neutron detection system consisting of a large moderator with central target or source cavity, beam entrance and exit ports and an array of BF3-counters oriented radially with respect to the cavity. One can construct a system whose neutron detection efficiency deviates little from its theoretically constant value for neutrons in the energy range 30 keV to 5 MeV. This deviation is estimated to be of the order of 1%. © 1969.
