摘要
The aim of the research is to understand the bulk flow of solids in mixing equipment, be these free-flowing or cohesive, due to whatever cause, and to develop means of following the flow patterns describing the mixture. The technique of positron emission tomography (PET) is employed to obtain 3D information of the mixing process. The results of a preliminary study to investigate stream flow patterns using a small number of tracer particles are given.
