AEROGEL TO GLASS TRANSFORMATION STUDIED BY LOW-FREQUENCY RAMAN-SCATTERING

摘要
The vibrational properties of silica aerogels are investigated by low frequency Raman spectroscopy for two series of samples (neutral and base catalyzed), progressively densified by heat treatment. The most striking feature of the spectra is a broad characteristic peak in the range 7-30 cm-1. The frequency of this peak is correlated to the mean size of the particles which built up the network. © 1990.
