OPTICALLY DETECTED MAGNETIC-RESONANCE OF NICKEL-DOPED SILVER-CHLORIDE

摘要
Optically detected magnetic resonance is observed in nickel‐doped AgCl at liquid‐helium temperatures. The species found is thought to be [(NiCl6)5−Ag+vac], indicating that [(NiCl6)4−Ag+vac] traps electrons at low temperatures. The signals due to [(NiCl6)5−Ag+vac] are weak and represent a decrease in light emission upon microwave absorption in accord with a simple model for radiative recombination.
