摘要
Iodoepoxides, formed by the reaction of PhI(OAc)2 and I2 with an allylic alcohol, can be rearranged to cis-fused bicyclic compounds using catalytic amounts of (n-Bu3Sn)2 and AIBN. Formally an atom transfer cyclization, the reaction proceeds through a tandem radical-induced epoxide fragmentation-H.abstraction-cyclization process.
