RADIATIVE DECAY OF MESONS IN AN INDEPENDENT-QUARK POTENTIAL MODEL

摘要
We investigate in a potential model of independent quarks the M1 transitions among the low-lying vector (V) and pseudoscalar (P) mesons. We perform a "static" calculation of the partial decay widths of twelve possible M1 transitions such as V --> Pgamma and P --> Vgamma within the traditional picture of photon emission by a confined quark and/or antiquark. The model accounts well for the observed decay widths.
