摘要
The cation distribution has been determined in the nickel manganites NiMn2O4 and Ni0.8Mn2.2O4 from powder neutron diffraction studies. It strongly depends upon the thermal history of the specimens. Additional information given by Mn2+ thermogravimetric oxidation experiments. has established the oxidation states of cations on the tetrahedral and octahedral sites of the cubic spinel structure. The magnetic structures determined at 1.5 K are in good agreement with the weak values of the spontaneous magnetization.
