摘要
Two techniques are described for modification of a gas chromatographic inlet to permit the thermal desorption of adsorbent-type sampling tubes directly into the carrier gas stream. Examples of chromatograms recorded with the aid of these techniques are presented to illustrate typical performance characteristics as observed in actual use. For many purposes, these schemes compare favorably with existing thermal desorption devices, their inherent simplicity and low cost represent distinct advantages in many applications. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
