TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF ELECTRON-CAPTURE DETECTOR RESPONSES IN THE ANALYSIS OF CHLORPROMAZINE, DIAZEPAM, AND CLONAZEPAM

The temperature dependence of the responses of a pulsed63Ni electron capture detector to chlorpromazine, clomipramine, diazepam, flurazepam, and the N-ethyl derivatives of clonazepam and N-desmethylflunitrazepam were determined. The response to chlorpromazine and clomlpramine increases with temperature, while that to diazepam and flurazepom decreases with temperature. The response to N-ethylclonazepam and N-ethyldesmethylflunitrazepam exhibits very little temperature dependence. These results have been used to optimize the analysis of r dlazepam, and clonazepam in plasma by electron capture gas-liquid chromatography. © 1979 Oxford University Press.
