CONSTANT-VOLUME THERMODYNAMIC FUNCTIONS FOR BCC NIOBIUM-HYDROGEN SOLID-SOLUTIONS

摘要
Recent measurements of the composition and temperature variation of the elastic properties of niobium single crystals containing hydrogen in solid solution in the b.c.c. α-phase have been used to calculate the rigid-lattice thermodynamic functions of the solution from the measured constant-pressure thermodynamic functions. The results show large differences between the two sets of functions. The utility of rigid-lattice models is discussed. © 1979.
