摘要：

For years, the United Nations has advised countries that their gross domestic product calculations should include the value of all harvested natural resources as income and that the depreciation of the remaining stocks' value should be ignored. Thus, a country can destroy its forests and fisheries and appear to grow much richer on paper while the source of that income quickly disappears. A new accounting system is badly needed.
