摘要
This article examines four ancient works, classics on the art of warfare, from which business people in Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan draw inspiration. The author identifies twelve major themes intertwined in these classics and explains how each affects culture and business strategy. Western executives who take the time to understand the East Asian mind-set on such matters as cooperation and competition, patience, deception, and emotion have an added advantage when it comes to doing business in Pacific Rim countries.
