ROBUST SPEED CONTROL OF IM WITH TORQUE FEEDFORWARD CONTROL

摘要
This paper presents a robust speed control of an induction motor (IM) using a load torque observer and a feedforward control. The speed response characteristics using a conventional PI controller are affected by variations of system parameters. In the proposed system, the speed control characteristics are not affected by a load torque disturbance and variations of motor and mechanical parameters. The whole control processing was performed by software using a digital signal processor (DSP) within a reasonable period and experimental results showed the robustness of the control system against a disturbance torque and variations of motor and mechanical parameters.
