摘要
In planning programs for study of the earth's environment in the next few years, the Inter-Union Commission on Solar-Terrestrial Physics (IUCSTP) has endorsed, among others, a project for the study of the ion chemistry of the D- and E-regions. This paper surveys the physical and chemical processes thought to be important, and makes recommendations for theoretical and experimental studies. © 1969.
