UNITED-STATES TEMPERATURE PRECIPITATION RELATIONSHIPS - IMPLICATIONS FOR FUTURE GREENHOUSE CLIMATES

摘要
An analysis of monthly values of precipitation and maximum and minimum air temperatures for all 1218 stations of the US Historical Climatology Network from 1900 to 1987 suggests that, in the mean, the CO2/trace gas-induced 'greenhouse effect' will probably lead to greater precipitation, lower maximum temperatures, and higher minimum temperatures, as radiatively active components of the atmosphere continue to increase in concentration.
