ULTRAFAST ENERGY-TRANSFER WITHIN BIFLUOROPHORIC MOLECULES

摘要
Intramolecular energy transfer in molecules with two separate chromophores is investigated. Excitation energy is rapidly transferred from the donor to the acceptor chromophore with high quantum efficiency. The observed fast rise of the fluorescence suggests a transfer time of shorter than 10-12 s. This upper limit agrees with theoretical estimates. © 1978.
