NUCLEIC ACIDS .V. NUCLEOTIDE DERIVATIVES OF TUBERCIDIN (7-DEAZAADENOSINE)

The syntheses of tubercidin 3′,5′-cyclic phosphate (cyclic 3,5-TuMP), the methyl ester of tubercidin 5′-phosphate (MepTu), tubercidinyl-(2′→5′)-thymidine (TupT), tubercidinyl-(3′→5′)-thymidine (TupT), and thymidylyl-(3′→5′)-tubercidin (TpTu) are reported. An improved synthesis of tubercidin 5′-phosphate is given. The biological properties of these compounds are compared with those of tubercidin. © 1968, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
