High-resolution flow NMR has been used at low temperatures to detect and to characterize the transient intermediate δ complex on the reaction pathway in the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction of 2, 4, 6-trinitroanisole by n-butyl-amine in a solvent mixture of 50% Me2SO-5Q% MeOH. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
