THE LOCATION OF CATIONS IN CS-EXCHANGED ZSM-5 ZEOLITE

摘要
The Cs form of ZSM-5 zeolite (Si/Al = 26) has been studied by powder X-ray diffraction. The Rietveld method was used to determine the location and the occupancy of the exchangeable cations in hydrated and dehydrated CsZSM-5 structures. The cell dimensions of hydrated and dehydrated CsZSM-5, are a = 20.100(2), b = 19.932(2), c = 13.431(1) and a = 20.080(2), b = 19.925(2), and c = 13.404(2) angstrom, respectively. The Cs ion of dehydrated CsZSM-5 is located close to the oxygen atom (018) of the four-membered ring of the ZSM-5 framework with a Cs-O distance of 3.68 angstrom. The Al atom is likely to be located in the four-membered ring.
