摘要
Data for sunshine duration hours, minimum and maximum daily temperatures, mean daily temperatures, relative humidity and specific humidity, all as monthly averages for a period of about 19 years (1968-1987) have been analyzed and used to produce some numerical formulae for the correlation of global radiation with other meteorological data for the state of Bahrain (26-degrees-00'N, 50-degrees-15'E). The criteria of choosing the best formula among all formulae was to look for the one with the largest R-squared (a measure of how much percentage is the dependence of the radiation on other factors) value and/or the least value of root mean square error. The solar constant of 1367W/m2 was used when calculating the extraterrestrial radiation.
