摘要
A strong minimum principle is derived for the distributed-parameter system δx/δt + v(t) δx/δr = f[x(r,t),u(r,t)] with performance index [formula omitted]. Tubular reactors and heat exchangers are described by these system equations. Optimal controls are found by solving a related lumped-parameter problem; some analytical solutions are presented. © 1968, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
