摘要：
Examination of the ultrastructure of the visual receptors of several mammals (monkey, rat, guinea pig, and ground squirrel) shows that in addition to the well-known ciliary connection between the inner and outer segments, there is also a cytoplasmic bridge through which the cytoplasm of the inner segment comes into direct contact with the basal discs of the outer segment. Several new features of the connecting cilium are also described. © 1969.
