摘要
A simple low cost UV photon detector has been designed and tested for use in the JetSet RICH detector at LEAR. It is based on the photo-sensitive gas TMAE and has been shown to have a reasonable efficiency while operating at room temperature. The readout is accomplished by conventional MWPC electronics and is suitable for use in a fast RICH detector.
