CUMULATIVE YIELDS OF TIN AND ANTIMONY NUCLIDES FROM THERMAL-NEUTRON FISSION OF 235U

The following cumulative fission yields have been measured and are reported: 27·06-hr 121Sn, 0·0122±0·008%; ∼6-yr 121Sn, 0·0019±0·0006%; 127-day 123Sn, 0·0019±0·0001%; 9·67-day 125Sn, 0·0116±0·0004%; 125Sb, 0·0291±0·0015%; 2·1-hr 127Sn, 0·067±0·0008%; 127Sb, 0·103±0·004%; 128Sn, 0·314±0·019% 129Sb, 0·62±0·03%. These yield values are compared with those previously published, and average or recommended values are used with considerations of nuclear charge division to derive the following chain yields for the indicated mass numbers: 121, 0·0140 ±0·0010%; 123, 0·0160±0·0012%; 125, 0·027±0·003%; 127, 0·103±0·004%; 128, 0·36±0·06%; 129, 0·63±0·04%. It has been determined that 82·6±0·9% of 127Sb decays to 9·3 hr 127Te and that 83·4 ±1·1% of 129Sb decays to 68·7-min 129Te. © 1969.
