摘要
Alpha-deuteron cluster wave functions for 6Li generated in a Saxon-Woods potential are applied to inelastic electron scattering. The idea of the clusters being predominantly in a relative 2S state is adopted. The quadrupole transition from the 6Li ground state to the 2.184 MeV level is studied within this picture. Form factors in excellent agreement with existing experimental data are obtained. It is shown that the recently observed continuous cross section underlying the first few electron-excited levels in 6Li cannot be ascribed to an alpha-deuteron break-up of the monopole type. It is pointed out that the possibility of observing the monopole alpha-deuteron break-up exists in a region of excitation energies from the threshold up to about 2 MeV. © 1969.
