EVIDENCE FOR PARTICLE STABILITY OF BE-13 IN A MICROSCOPIC CLUSTER MODEL

摘要
The Be-13 spectrum is investigated in a Be-12+n microscopic model, involving a full p-shell basis for the Be-12 description. The model reproduces the experimental neutron width of the 5/2+ resonance in Be-13, and suggests the existence of a further 1/2+ state, located very close to the neutron threshold. This state is predicted by the microscopic theory to be the Be-13 ground state, and slightly bound with respect to the neutron channel. Its r.m.s. radius should be very large, and typical of a halo structure.
