摘要：

The structure of jesaconitine has been determined by an examination of the nmr spectrum of this alkaloid and its pyrolysis products. The pyrolysis was carried out in an nmr tube and continuously monitored by nmr spectroscopy to provide evidence for the elimination product. This method of pyrolysis constitutes a rapid and convenient way of establishing the presence of certain C-8 ester groups in these diterpene alkaloids using small amounts of material. © 1968, American Chemical Society.
