Oxygen concentrations were measured by the detection of alpha particles from the 18O(p, α) 15N reaction. A proton beam of size 0.002 was shown to allow microanalysis with a spatial resolution equal to the beam size. Investigation of possible sources of error in this technique show that it is both accurate and reproducible. © 1969."
