ANGULAR RESOLVED RAMAN-SPECTRA FROM PYRIDINE ADSORBED ON SILVER ELECTRODES

摘要
The enhanced Raman effect is undetectable for pyridine adsorbed on smooth silver electrodes. It does appear, however, in a narrow range of the angle of incidence (5*), when less than a monolayer of Ag has been dissolved and redeposited electrochemically. This contrasts with the expected angular distribution of scattered light from dipole moments induced in the adsorbed species and indicates a surface plasmon-enhanced Raman scattering (SPERS). © 1979.
