Superconducting thin films with a single Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3Ox(2223) phase were fabricated on MgO(100) substrates using excimer laser ablation and post annealing. The films had a highly c-axis-oriented structure and showed zero resistance at 122 K. Diamagnetism also appeared at 122 K and a 95% transition was achieved at 110 K. The critical current density of the film at 77 K was 1.5×105A/cm2at 0 T. © 1990 IOP Publishing Ltd.
