UNUSUAL LESIONS OF LARYNX, TRACHEA AND BRONCHIAL TREE

Three unusual problems involving the larynx, trachea and bronchi are presented. In each case the diagnosis was either aided Or actually determined by endoscopic examination of the patient. The first problem, the scimitar syndrome, is of importance to the bronchoesophagologist. The second problem, a case of laryngotracheal hemangioma was treated with corticosteroids with excellent rapid response with regression of the lesion. The third problem is an unusual (rare) case of a tracheopharyngeal anomaly with discussion of the problems of diagnosis and management. © 1969, SAGE Publications. All rights reserved.
