摘要
Using transmission electron microscopy the initial stages of deformation induced crystalline‐to‐amorphous transformation of Ti40Ni54Fe4Zr2 alloy are examined. It is found that deformation induced amorphization initiates along twin boundaries of {114} twins. Explanations of observed phenomena are discussed in the light of specific twin boundaries structure and specific {114} twinning in the B2 lattice. Copyright © 1990 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
