THE ELECTROCHEMICAL POLYMERIZATION OF ORTHO-DIAMINOBENZENE ORTHO-AMINOPHENOL AND THE PROPERTIES OF POLYMER FILMS

摘要
Ortho-diaminobenzene (ODB), Ortho-aminophenol (OAP) can be easily electropolymerized in acid aqueous solution, form continouus and adherent films. The polymer are 1,4-para position coupling. When pH<4, PODB is electroactive, its redox reaction which leads to the electrochronic behavior is concerned with H+ ions. The electrode potentials of PODB, POAP behave Nernatian response vs. pH values from pH = 4-10, electrode coefficience are 59 mV/pH and 57 mV/pH respectively. The Polymer H+ ion selective electrode have realtively short response tiem (less than 3 min.), good selectivity, reproductivity and stability. PODB, POAP are able to form complexes with transition- metal ions Ni2+ and Co2+. The polymer-complex film show very stable cyclic voltametric behavior in alkaline media, the metal ions in film can be exchanced by H+ ion, -NH2 group in PODB electrode can be remodified to introduce the quinone/hydroquinone functional group.
