TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF PROTON AND DEUTERON NMR IN TRIGLYCINE SULFATE CRYSTAL

摘要
The angular and the temperature dependence of the NMR spectra of CH2-group protons and ND3-group deuterons have been measured in partially deuterated triglycine sulfate crystals. The directions of the principal axes of the glycine GI electric field gradient tensor are evaluated and discussed with reference to the CN bond direction. It is shown that in the ferroelectric phase the orientation of the GI changes gradually to about 20° below Tc At low temperatures the C.zsbnd;N bond direction changes with decreasing temperature. © 1979.
