摘要
The faradaic impedance of an electrochemical reaction involving two different adsorbates at the surface of the electrode consists of second-order concentration impedances. A method has been developed for studying concentration impedances based on the poles/zeros plot of concentration impedance in the p-plane. This method provides a means of predicting the various shapes that concentration impedance and faradaic impedance diagrams may take. It does not require the use of equivalent electrical circuits. The method is applied to an example involving the Volmer-Heyrovsky mechanism, with chemical desorption when hydrogen is adsorbed in atomic or molecular form, using kinetic laws to calculate the variation of impedance diagrams with electrode potential.
