摘要
The electronic spectrum of CrO42- is identical to that of MnO4- except for an energy inversion of the 3rd and 4th band systems. A very weak lowest-energy band, the authenticity of which has been in debate for MnO4- is unambiguously present in CrO42-. The intense (is an element of approximate to 10(4)) 55 560 cm(-1) band of CrO42- and the correlating 52 600 cm(-1) band of MnO4- exhibit a significant decrease of intensity in the solid state; the corresponding transitions presumably possess "big orbit" character.
