摘要
The susceptibility of 94 clinical isolates and 12 reference strains of anaerobic cocci to six antimicrobial agents was studied by means of minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) determinations using an agar dilution method. The test agents were penicillin, erythromycin, lincomycin, clindamycin, spectinomycin and metronidazole. The strains showed a wide range of susceptibilities to penicillin, erythromycin, lincomycin or clindamycin. All strains were sensitive to metronidazole but were resistant to spectinomycin. A small sample of strains was also tested against rifampicin; all were sensitive. The significance of the findings in relation to antimicrobial therapy and to problems of characterisation of these organisms is discussed. © 1979 The British Society for the Study of Infection.
