摘要
The knowledge of hydrogen exchange processes between solid and gas phase during and after exposures of surfaces to hydrogen atoms is necessary to understand recycling processes. The release of hydrogen or its isotopes from metals in which it is dissolved atomically involves recombination to molecules. The diffusion equation has to be solved with boundary conditions containing quadratic, time dependent variables. As no algebraic solution is available, a computer code for the interaction of pulsed fluxes of atoms with metals has been developed. The concentrations of the hydrogen isotopes within the solid, their release rates as molecules from the surface and their total amount in the wall, can be calculated as function of time. © 1979.
