摘要
The traveling, one pseudofermion approximation (TPA) for binary mixed crystals with mass and force-constant disorder is presented. This approximation is, for off-diagonal disorder, analogous to the average t-matrix approximation for diagonal disorder. Numerical results are presented for various cases of disorder in harmonic linear chains. It is shown that the resulting TPA phonon spectrum lies within the bounds of the exact spectrum. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
