摘要
The decay of superdeformed rotational bands is studied as a barrier penetration problem, making use of microscopically calculated potential energy surfaces and of inertial parameters derived from the superfluid tunneling model. The spin dependence of the calculated transmission coefficients is compared with the one extracted from the experimental data. Good overall agreement is found only if pairing correlations are included.
