摘要
Thermal instability normally prevents the preparation of films of peripherally substituted phthalocyanines by sublimation. The enhanced solubility permits the use of solvent casting and spin coating. Solvent casting produces a rough polycrystalline coating. In contrast, spun films are very thin (approximately 50 angstrom), and very smooth. Common imperfections are isolated polycrystalline growths and pin holes. Both film types show a photoconductive response to chopped light.
