摘要
dc conductivity and IR spectra of PbO-B2O3 and PbO-V2O5-B2O3 glasses have been investigated. The results are correlated with the NMR data of PbO-B2O3 glasses. The activation energy for conduction is found to be in direct proportionality with the fraction of BO4 groups. The conductivity, which is attributed to Pb2+ ions, depends mainly on the ratio O/B. V2O5 is proposed to modify the borate network. The glasses containing V2O5 show relatively higher conductivities and lower activation energies than those free of V2O5.
