ON CONNECTION BETWEEN FORMULATIONS OF GENERALIZED STATISTICS IN QUANTUM MECHANICS AND FIELD THEORY

摘要
The two possible formulations of generalized statistics. i.e. formulations of quantum mechanics and field theory. are reviewed and criticized. Employing the representation theory of finite groups, the proof is given of the non-equivalence of these two formulations in the case of para-statistics for order p ≥ 2. It is concluded that the arguments concerning the non-existence of para-particles which have so far been given by several authors are not applicable to the para-field theory. © 1968.
